| 寒い寒い冬空から、ホテルのラウンジに舞い降りた、赤と白のインコの群れ。 インコたちの群れる姿に、日本の春を一番に告げる紅梅、白梅のほころぶ姿をかさねました。 羽をふるいたたせるさまは、まるで花びら一枚一枚が開いていくようすにもみえます。 また、赤（紅）と白の組み合わせは、古来よりお祝いごとに使われる、 とても縁起のよい色合わせでもあります。 クリスマスとお正月を迎えるこの季節、赤（紅）と白のインコから、生命に満ちたエネルギーが、 そして、インコの背中から咲いた梅の花々の隙間から、希望の光がこぼれますように。 |

in the hotel lounge from a wintery sky...
I layered the image of red and white plum
blossom onto the swarm of budgies as a symbol
of the arrival of spring in Japan.
The image of the budgies flapping their wings
resembles flowers opening their petals one
by one.
In Japan, the combination of red and white
have been celebratory colours since ancient
times.
In this .....season (Christmas and the New
Year's Day in 2016), I wish for you all to
receive the life giving energy of my red
and white budgies
and the light of hope from the plum petals
on their wings.
